Fort Atkinson, WI (October 13, 2008) - Electrical Contracting Products magazine, the product information authority for decision-makers at the nation’s leading electrical contracting firms, announces its 2008 Electrical Contracting Products INNOVATION Award Winners. The prestigious program recognizes outstanding companies whose products or services have best responded to electrical contractors’ market challenges by offering creative and innovative ideas. In all, more than 160 products were submitted, with 19 products winning from the 18 categories. In the Power Tools Category, there was a tie.

“It’s clear that the electrical industry manufacturers continue to develop quality, innovative products,” said John Dyslin, editor, Electrical Contracting Products. “Our INNOVATION Award judges had their work cut out for them because of the high number of exceptional products. In several categories, the voting was very close.”

Divided into 18 product categories, the 2008 Electrical Contracting Products INNOVATION Awards were judged by a distinguished panel of professional electrical contractors from across the nation who evaluated each on six criteria:

Quality contribution
Maintainability
Productivity improvements

In ceremonies held October 5 at the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Trade Show in Chicago, winners were presented with crystal awards recognizing their achievements in meeting the needs of the $82 billion electrical contracting market. The winners will be showcased in the November issue of Electrical Contracting Products and featured on www.ECPZONE.com.
