EXCELLENCE IN HOSPITALITY PRODUCT DESIGN SPOTLIGHTED BY IIDA AND HOSPITALITY DESIGN MAGAZINE
May 16, 2008, Las Vegas, NV – The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and
Hospitality Design magazine are pleased to announce the winners of the 12th Annual IIDA/Hospitality Design Product Design Competition at the Annual Platinum Circle Awards Gala during the 2008 HD Expo, May 14-17. IIDA partners with HD on the educational component of the show and sponsors this annual product design competition. This year’s winners represent an exciting group of products heralded
for their innovative and aesthetic properties with direct hospitality applications.

“Judging by the number of attendees at HD Expo and the amount of product entries in the 12th Annual IIDA/Hospitality Design Product Design Competition, this is a strong year for the hospitality specialty,” commented Brian Thornton, IIDA. “The judges were intrigued by the overall innovation and thoughtfulness of many of the products.”
Awards in each category are not mandatory; judges must find exemplary new introductions whose properties include innovation, technical advancements, cost effectiveness, environmental responsibility, aesthetics and need and usage in the hospitality industry.
